Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Ferdinand

This week brings my most anticipated film of the year, so I present my “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” review, spoiler free! If you have younger children you may want to consider “Ferdinand” from Blue Sky Studios instead.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” was everything I wanted and more. Returning from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” are Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, and Anthony Daniels. They’re joined by Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern, and Benicio Del Toro. Rian Johnson takes the helm as well.

Meanwhile from the folks at Blue Sky Studios comes the animated “Ferdinand” based on the book of the same name. Starring John Cena, Kate McKinnon, Jeremy Sisto, Bobby Cannavale, Raul Esparza, Juanes, Jerrod Carmichael, Anthony Anderson, Peyton Manning, David Tennant, Gina Rodriguez, Daveed Diggs, Gabriel Iglesias, Flula Borg, and Boris Kodjoe.
