Mega movie review this week. I review “Life” “CHiPs” and “Song to Song”
“Life” stars my homeboy Ryan Reynolds, also Jake Gyllenhaal, and Rebecca Ferguson, and an alien. Ripped straight from the plot of “Alien”, this film brings nothing particularly innovative to the genre, but also doesn’t mess it up.

I also have “CHiPs” which I have the most (angry things) to say about, since it’s 2017 and I’m really sick of movies that could just be summarized as “No Homo: The Movie” and that give women no agency.
Finally there’s the new Terrence Malick opus “Song to Song” which is like if someone was trying to make a knockoff of a Malick film… except it comes from the director himself. How Natalie Portman, Rooney Mara, Cate Blanchett, Ryan Gosling, and Michael Fassbender agreed to be in this is almost as puzzling as the lack of plot or music in a film about people in the music industry…
