Born and raised in Cologne, Germany, Yoo began acting when studying at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York and later continued his studies in an intensive course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
He can be seen in Park Chan-Wook’s romantic mystery feature Decision to Leave.
Yoo’s other film credits include the Russian musical film and Palme d’Or nominated Leto, Black Money opposite Hanee Lee, Jin-Woong Cho and Sung-Min Lee, Vertigo opposite Woo-Hee Chun, Seoul Searching, and Drake Doremus’ feature Equals opposite Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart.
