“Artemis Fowl” is foul, “7500” is stuck in the past, and “Babyteeth” will rattle you.
Considering the amount of talent in “Artemis Fowl” on Disney +, the decent source material, and the big budget, it’s kind of amazing how badly they botched it up. Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell, Judi Dench, Josh Gad, Nonso Anozie, Tamara Smart, Colin Farrell, Nikesh Patel, Hong Chau, and Joshua McGuire star.
Kenneth Branagh directs. The saving grace of “7500” is Joseph Gordon-Levitt but he’s not enough to save this film about hijackers on an airplane. The themes and plot feel like they belong in 2003.
”Babyteeth” from Australia is full of powerful performances and some painful subjects. Eliza Scanlen, Toby Wallace, Ben Mendelsohn, and Essie Davis star.
